This Photograph by James Larkin was taken in April of 2009. It is a picture of lightning stricking at a beach. I like this photo because of its sheer beauty and how gorgeous the water and the sky is. The color contrast between the sky and the water is remarkable. I also like how the photographer uses the rule of thirds by putting the sky in the upper two thirds and the water and th beach in the lower third.
